CDC Warns about New E. Coli Breakout

Bean sprouts in Germany are now the new cause of worry for the E. Coli disease, which has already killed 31 people and make sick over 3,100 in Germany.

German officials have warned the CDC in Atlanta that bean sprouts seem to be the root of the problem, but there is an even bigger problem. They have no evidence and have no clue what is going on to be honest. Basically, it is like a murder. They have all the evidence except for the murder weapon.

In preparation and as a caution, all bean sprouts that may have caused the problem have been pulled from markets. The CDC said they will be watching closely at the number of outbreaks now, as the people getting sick from beans should dramatically be reduced since they can no longer be bought.

While it seems as though American officials are still up in the air about the cause, the Germans are almost positive they know where it came from.

As of now, it seems all of the tainted vegetables came from one source, an organic farm in northern Germany, more specifically, the village of Bienenbuettel. This outbreak from this farm has pretty much made almost all of Europe stop eating vegetables for the time being, at least until there is confirmation that the E. Coli is gone and there is no traces of it anywhere.

Believe it or not, sprouts are a prime carrier and victim to carry any bacteria, especially E. Coli. They have a large surface for the bacteria to catch onto and to develop, and if the disease if there from the start, you won’t even be able to wash this bacteria off. That is why sprouts make public health officials nervous all of the time.

Sure, they are high proteins and they are extremely dangerous, but they need to be grown the right way. To put it simply, organic sprouts are especially dangerous, considering they won’t use any chemicals to kill bacteria. Instead, bacteria, such as E. Coli, can actually thrive in these conditions, which makes the sprouts grown organically possibly a much higher risk.
