No Morals in the US Anymore

During my lifetime I have seen the following simple rules for life ignored or discarded. Worship God. Make no idols. Do not misuse God’s name. Keep the Sabbath holy. Honor your father and mother. Do not murder, commit adultery, steal, lie or covet. Ten rules for life from which all the other laws originate.

The United States was once a land where a good portion of the people had a conscience to do good. But our principles have eroded and few even try to obey the commands of God.

We have become a nation where deception numbs the truth and greed is what we use for achieving happiness. Slander and gossip are glorified and integrity means nothing.

Many people are concerned about the future of our country. What will it take to turn us around? Unless we trust in God – our Creator – we have no hope.
